Poll: Fiction in November 🍂
Hello my lovelies,
in November, we are truly in the thick of Autumn here in the Northern hemisphere. That means Norse Mythology is coming back to the polls! And I added an Aztec Mythology prompt as well in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
Unroll for more info on the prompts
Quetzalcoatl: the Aztec god of learning and wisdom. His name translates to "Quetzal-feathered Serpent", the quetzal being a beautiful bird. In the Codex Chimalpopoca, it is said Quetzalcoatl was coerced by Tezcatlipoca into becoming drunk on agave wine.
Tezcatlipoca: the Aztec god of judgment, night, deceit, and sorcery. His name translates as "Smoking (Obsidian) Mirror". Tezcatlipoca was often described as a rival of Quetzalcoatl but they also collaborated i.e. when creating the world. He is missing a foot because a primordial sea monster ate it.
Thor: Norse God of Thunder and husband of Sif. Loki is his friend, not his brother.
Loki: Norse god and troublemaker. He claims to have slept with Sif in the poem Lokasenna. He once cut off all her hair as a prank.
Sif: Norse Goddess with famously golden hair of and wife of Thor. She may or may not have slept with Loki at some point.
Frigg & Freyja are both Norse goddesses associated with magic, especially seiðr, a type of magic practised in Norse society that likely involved sexual acts. Frigg is highest among the Norse goddesses and only Freyja "is highest in rank next to her", according to the prose Edda.
Pleione: an Okeanid nymph, daughter of Okeanos and Tethys. The 7 Pleiades are her daughters with the titan Atlas.
Atlas: a titan god who fought against Zeus on the side of Kronos in the Titanomachy and was punished by Zeus to hold up the sky for eternity. He is skilled in philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy. He has 7 daughters with Pleione, the Pleiades.
As always, I'll write the prompt that gets the most votes. If it's a tie, my artists and I get to choose 😊
Patrons of the Demigod tier get a sexy illustration along with the story instead of the plain text story for everyone else.
